Deanne is a Resource and Community Support Officer with the Queensland Elder Abuse Prevention Unit with UnitingCare’s Older Persons Program. Deanne has been with the Older Persons Program for 17 years and spent the last 12 working on the Elder Abuse Helpline and undertaking community education across Queensland. Deanne has been involved in the establishment of three elder abuse response panels in Queensland including the Gold Coast, Southern Downs and Brisbane North. In the past few years Deanne has undertaken project work in the Far North West of Queensland working with First Nations Communities and their response to elder abuse.
