Lisa Brumtis

Lisa Brumtis is a Healthy Discussions Project Officer at the Victorian Office of the Public Advocate. She was a pupil of human rights and is an ardent observer and passionate advocate for women with a disability. A perpetual student, pre-injury Lisa completed an Arts degree and, as chance would have it, post-injury completed a Graduate Certificate in Applied Human Rights. Amongst all of this, she has been an active member of self- advocacy groups: BIM (Brain Injury Matters), SARU (Self Advocacy Resource Unit), and AMIDA (Action for More Independence and Dignity in Accommodation). As a woman with a disability, an acquired brain injury, she is passionate about communicating and raising awareness about the perplexing, complex and, sometimes, irritating reality of a brain Injury.
